Buying electric power is a lot more complicated for institutions than it is for private homes. So is consuming it efficiently. To make sure that Cranberry – whose electric use costs more than $800,000 a year – gets the most value from its electrical service as well as the best power pricing, the Board of Supervisors approved the retention of an experienced energy efficiency consultant. E-CAP, with extensive experience in energy efficiency management through PJM – a regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in 13 states including Pennsylvania – will also help the Township secure available incentives and rebates. E-CAP will compensated according to a schedule that reflects the savings they are able to secure for the Township.
