General Rental Center, which has operated its event supply and tool rental business from leased space on Rt. 19 for more than 15 years, is planning to move its growing franchise to the corner of Marshall Road and North Boundary – the 5.3 site directly across from the Penn Power substation which was previously operated by Valley Natural Gas and later by Mystic Construction. One element of the General Rental business is U-Haul trucks. Last year Supervisors approved a revision to the Township’s zoning code allowing vehicle rental services, when they are accessory to a company’s primary business, to operate from locations like Marshall Road, provided they apply for and receive the Board’s conditional use approval. That approval was granted at the Board’s November 17 meeting.
