The Township has been preparing for forecasted snow this weekend, with Public Works ready to hit the roads. A total of 25 crew members will tackle 17 routes and parking lots/sidewalks – but they need your help!
- Do not park on Township streets. Vehicles may be ticketed and/towed where there is no street parking signage.
- Follow the 10-foot rule: Keep basketball hoops, snow forts, parked cars in driveways, and non-permanent seasonal items 10 feet from the edge of the street.
- Do not move snow from driveways and sidewalks into the paved street.
- If traveling is necessary, remove all snow and ice from the vehicle and allow plenty of space when driving near plow trucks.
The Police Department will deny all requests for on-street parking through Monday, January 26. Parking tickets may be issued to violators.
As a reminder, many main roads in the Township are maintained by PennDOT, including Interstate 79, Route 19, Route 228, Freedom Road, Franklin Road, Glen Eden Road, Rochester Road, Rowan Road, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike
