Annual CranFest Postponed Until Fall 2020

Over the past six years, CranFest has become a popular celebration of Cranberry Township’s diversity, steadily growing in both community participation and attendance each April.

To ensure the event continues to thrive in a comfortable, positive and safe environment, the 2020 edition of CranFest will be postponed until fall.

With the ongoing concern and unpredictable nature of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has suggested altering or canceling large gatherings in an effort to stop the spread of the virus.

Given the interactive nature of CranFest and out of an abundance of caution, organizers determined following that suggestion was the best option.

By moving the event until later in 2020, organizers hope there is better clarity on the virus’ impact, and, ultimately, that it subsides.

This postponement will also allow for several major projects in and around the Township Municipal Center to be completed, including the Library MakerSpace and community gathering area in the center of the building.

A rescheduled date has not yet been determined. However, organizers believe this postponement will make certain that the spirit of CranFest continues to grow and flourish in the years to come.
